Lyrics
Western Sky
Verse 1
Dewdrops glistened in the sun,
So the journey had begun,
We thought the goal was always in our sight,
Daybreak seemed so long ago,
So many things we didn’t know,
We rode out in the early morning light,
Chorus
Western sky fades
Red goes black,
The day is spent,
Can’t have it back,
Verse 2
It seemed the town had grown too small,
We young folks and had to have it all,
The endless highway seemed be the way,
The miles went by, the money too,
Still it seemed our course held true,
Even as some things got in our way,
Chorus
Verse 3
Words grew harsh, some causing pain,
Our sunshine darkened into rain,
Still we had to try and make our way,
½ verse solo
Bridge
Sometimes things don’t go to plan,
No matter how you try,
Tomorrow is another day,
It’s time to dry your eyes,
Chorus twice
