From the recording Just Dance, Again
“Just Dance, Again” is a reimagining of Ed’s ode to the beauty and passion of dance.
Ed brought back his his virtual band Podunk to make this track more like what he was hearing in his head when he wrote it quite a while ago. This version has a tighter mix and more intense lead guitar while retaining the original vocals.
Lyrics
Just Dance
1. Darkness gathers on the horizon,
Storms are getting really near,
On the radio all they tell us,
Is about our fear,
2. You hear thunder I hear your heartbeat,
As the trees start to sway,
Lightning flashes ever closer,
I hold you and say,
Chorus:
You say this world is falling to pieces,
And we don’t have a chance,
I say at least we’ve got each other,
So why don’t we just dance.
3. Dance with me now into the evening,
Sway along with the trees,
As long as we’re together dancing,
It’s only a breeze.
4. Dance with me now what does it matter,
We’re only here for a while,
Let the storms blow past the window,
We’ll dance on out with a smile.
